Joe starts barber college at Moler Barber College in Oakland, California.

Joe finishes barber college.

Joe passes the California State Barber board exam, and becomes a licensed barber in California.

Joe starts work at Pasha's Barbershop at 19th and Collingwood Streets in San Francisco.

Pasha the owner of Pasha's Barbershop passes away.

07-26-2002

First "Dore Alley Barbershop Social" held by Joe at Pasha's Barbershop

10-01-2002

Pasha's Barbershop is sold and renamed.

06-01-2003

Joe relocates to Up Hair at 18th and Castro in San Francisco.

02-08-2004

Joe signs a lease for the shop at 4102 19th Street in San Francisco, and the permit process begins with the City and County of San Francisco.

07-14-2004

City and County of San Francisco issue a change of use permit for the shop at 4102 19th Street.

08-05-2004

Construction starts on the shop.

09-10-2004

JOE'S BARBERSHOP opens at 4102 19th Street in San Francisco. The Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom issues a Certificate of Honor to mark the occassion.

09-18-2004

Grand Opening Celebration held at the shop from 8pm till 11pm. Approximately 150 folks attended.

10-03-2004

Open house held during the Castro Street Fair. Joe's Dad, Big Joe was on hand from Philadelphia, PA.
